Would I have to become vegan to see results?
No. Adding more whole plant foods to an otherwise omnivorous diet is, in many cases, absolutely transformative! I will never pressure you to become vegan (though I do eat a primarily WFPB diet at home, I am a "flexitarian" because I chose to stay flexible in social settings).Will you design a meal plan for me to follow?
No. I teach evidence-based principles, one of which is "appetite attunement." Rigidly following a diet plan determined for you by someone else contradicts the holistic process I encourage, which is that of keen perception towards what your own body is telling you it needs.How is it possible to lose weight without counting calories?
I lost well over a hundred pounds while consuming a high-calorie diet. Obesity is not primarily caused by a high caloric intake, but rather suboptimal nutrient intake along with the accumulation of environmental and metabolic waste (stored most safely in the adipose tissue), and the hormonal, metabolic, and nutrient imbalances which result from the pro-inflammatory state a high toxic body burden engenders.What approaches do you use to focus on the emotional aspect of one's healing journey?
Emotional Freedom Technique, the Enneagram, and Jungian Shadow Work, as well as other coaching techniques drawn from psychology including mindfulness, deep breathing, self-compassion, and solution-focused therapy.What do you think about nutritional supplements and herbal remedies?
When I was very sick, I went to many naturopaths and tried many protocols. Most of the supplements I tried did little to nothing, or worse yet, made me much more sick than I was when I started! I believe most "natural" pills aren't any safer or more effective than most pharmaceutical drugs, as they stress to the liver, and in some cases, even accumulate in the body causing chronic toxicity.What is chronic hypervitaminosis A?
I have been on a low-vitamin A diet for the past 6 years due to the influence and inspiration of Grant Genereux and Dr. Anthony Mawson. If you are interested in more information on this little known but potentially widespread problem, which may contribute to the development of auto-immune disease, I offer a self-assessment tool and a food list handout to clients interested in exploring this hypothesis for themselves.What do you charge?
